Summary, etc. Det blev ingen nyårsafton för Björn Eklund 2016. Den högt älskade familjen fick fira utan honom. När de hörde av sig höll han humöret uppe och sa att han nog skulle dyka upp. Men sjukdomen som läkarna inte ville erkänna hade däckat honom så att han inte orkade längre. Det här är den gastkramande berättelsen om en levnadsglad, frisk och på alla sätt aktiv människa, där allt plötsligt tar stopp. Som efter en ovanligt tuff influensa tappar all kraft och till slut allt livsmod. Och ingen kan förklara vad som är fel. Tills hans googlande hittar en diagnos som stämmer på pricken, ME (myalgisk encefalomyelit). Den sjukdomen har den svenska sjukvården inte hört talas om. Ingen tror honom. Han blir till och med utskrattad av en läkare. Nu är det dags att börja jobba, är budskapet från vård och försäkringskassa. Trots att Björn är så sjuk att han inte orkar gå de 32 trappstegen upp till lägenheten. Men plötsligt tänds ett hopp när han får reda på ett forskningsprojekt i Norge kring ME. Finns det ett liv efter ME? Björn Eklund är journalist verksam i Sundsvall. Under många år arbetade han på Dagbladet för att senare flytta över till Sundsvalls Tidning.
